Wassily Kandinsky's studio in Paris

While living in Paris, Kandinsky had lived in an apartment in Neuilly which was along the banks of the Seine, specifically on the seventh floor. Within this image, it can be seen that the walls are bare, which was a specific choice Kandinsky made for his artistic process. He wanted no distractions, and blank walls guaranteed concentration. An example of one his works that were created in this studio is Dominant Curve (Courbe dominate).
